One
particular experience at the Fox Cities P.A.C. will be forever etched in my
memory. I can't help but have it spring into my mind, and heart, each time I
walk in.
As a new arrival in Fox Cities, I was fortunate to attend a
performance of The Nutcracker in December of 2005. In addition to be a
brand-new Wisconsinite, I was also hugely pregnant and due to give birth to my
first child, a girl, on Christmas Eve. As we watched the elegant ballet dancers
and listened to Tchaikovsky's stunning score, my daughter moved constantly
inside me. I smiled to myself, imagining that she was dancing right along with
the performance. However, when she stopped moving during intermission, and recommenced
for the second act; I was convinced of it.
